Calavento Orange 2022

Calavento Orange is an orange wine made from Malvasia Bianca. The grapes are grown in a small plot in Leverano. The medium-textured soil has some parts in a red color due to iron oxides. The grapes, harvested by hand, are cooled in cold storage rooms before being further selected on a sorting table. Once the stems are removed, the grapes are gently pressed under inert gas. The fermentation process occurs spontaneously with indigenous yeasts. The wine then undergoes skin maceration and malolactic fermentation in stainless steel tanks and terracotta amphorae. The wine is aged after this process.
